Who We Are

We Are a Brotherhood, Not a Program

We are a growing brotherhood of men who believe healing doesn’t happen in isolation — it happens in relationship.

Adventures in Recovery exists because too many men are trying to carry pain, addiction, grief, anger, and shame alone. We’ve been told to “man up,” keep it together, and push through. That path works… until it doesn’t.

AIR brings men back to something ancient and essential: men walking together through challenge, truth, and growth.

We are guides, mentors, fathers, sons, builders, and seekers. Some of us arrived broken. Some angry. Some numb. All of us arrived willing.

When you step into AIR, you’re not signing up for an experience —
you’re stepping into a brotherhood.

What We Do

We Use Adventure to Rebuild Men from the Inside Out.

At Adventures in Recovery, we use wilderness and adventure as the classroom.

Through backpacking trips, hiking days, cold-water immersion, movement, breathwork, and intentional conversation, men are given space to slow down, regulate their nervous systems, and reconnect with themselves and others.

This is not therapy.
This is not boot camp.
This is not a quick fix.

It is men learning how to show up — honestly, courageously, and together.

On the trail, titles disappear. Masks come off. Conversations get real. Men learn tools for self-regulation, accountability, and connection that carry back into everyday life.

Adventure is the doorway.
Brotherhood is the medicine.
Integration is the goal.

How You Can Be A Part

Step One: Join by clicking here

This is the entry point.
When a man clicks Join the Brotherhood, he fills out a short form that gives him access to our private Circle community. This step is free and low pressure — it’s simply a way of saying, “I want in.”
Circle is where connection begins before a man ever steps onto a trail.

Step Two: Your First Trip
Once connected, men are invited to join their first hike or backpacking trip.
No experience required. Just a willingness to show up.
This is where brotherhood moves from online to real life — men walking, talking, breathing, and navigating challenge together.

Step Three: Alumni Brotherhood
Men who complete a trip become part of the AIR alumni brotherhood.
This includes ongoing hikes, retreats, and shared experiences designed to keep men connected and growing. This isn’t about intensity — it’s about consistency and relationship.

Step Four: Supporting the Movement
Some men go on to support AIR by giving back.
That might look like donating to help another man access a trip, volunteering as a co-guide, or inviting other men who need this work.
Every man who gives back strengthens the circle for the next one.
